Project Coordinator Intern
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt, hourly
Reports to: Project Manager
Details:
  • 2-3 months projected duration
  • $18.00 - $22.00 hourly
  • Part-time
  • Must be able to commute to the LHM Construction offices, located in Sandy, Utah, as well as to nearby active job sites (Downtown Daybreak in South Jordan)

Job Description: The Project Coordinator Intern will play a vital role in supporting project managers and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from start to completion.
Primary Duties
  • Assist project managers in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate meetings, site visits, and conference calls with stakeholders
  • Track project progress and update project schedules accordingly
  • Serve as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members
  • Assist with obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries
  • Help with the coordination of subcontractor activities, including scheduling, payments, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to project sites, ensuring timely arrival and proper inventory management
  • Assist in conducting site inspections and audits to identify and address quality and safety concerns
  • Maintain records of safety meetings, inspections, and incident reports
  • Manage project-related correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and written communications
  • Provide administrative support to project managers
  • Take site photos and save site documents to Dropbox

Experience & Skills
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in project manager software and Microsoft office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and best practices
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs in/around construction site, apartment homes, models, and properties
  • This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions (to include but limited to, rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet), around hazardous chemicals, dust, dirt, and other particulates
  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend large quantities of information, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry up to 40 lbs. independently
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about office setting
  • To perform other duties as required
