Minimum Education Required

• Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, or related field

Preferred

• International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certification orAssociate Certified Coach (ACC)

Minimum Experience Required

• 5-10 years higher education administration
• Student Affairs advising, counseling, or coordinating in higher education

• Mentor each student employee and volunteer in student affairs theory and practice; customer service; evaluation, assessment, and implementation; collaborative efforts; and navigating university environment

• Technical and computer skills, including: word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and record keeping

Skills Preferred

• Experience with evaluation, assessment, and implementation
• Knowledge of, and ability to operationalize, student development and student affairs theories and best practices
• Research and operationalize student affairs and student development news and trends, academic publications, and best practices
• Teach and train holistic student affairs skills and practice, namely: coaching, advisement, teaching, facilitation, leadership and followership, and interpersonal communication
• Understanding of and ability to apply university policy and procedure
• Understanding of legal and liability issues as they relate to department programs, events, and services and ramifications for student participants, volunteers, and employees

Pay Grade: 52

Typical Starting Pay: $31.25-$40.50

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
