Description:

The Fargo Park District is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative Part-Time Production Graphic Designer to support the Community Relations Department. Working under the guidance of the Brand & Creative Specialist, this role plays a key support function in bringing the Fargo Park District brands to life across print collateral, digital platforms, signage, merchandise, and social media.   

Working up to 20 hours per week, this position focuses heavily on production design, marketing collateral execution, and creating high-quality visual support assets for programs, events, facilities, and community initiatives across all Fargo Park District departments (including Recreation, Golf, Courts Plus, Fargo Parks Sports Center, Valley Senior Services, Parks, Foundation and Special Events).

Primary Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Print & Digital Design: Design flyers, posters, brochures, digital ads, email graphics, and social media assets for community programs and events.   
  • Event & Community Initiatives Graphics: Produce signage, banners, A-frames, and promotional display materials.   
  • Merchandise & Apparel: Design T-shirts, stickers, branded merchandise,  and promotional graphics.   
  • Production & Prepress: Prepare production-ready artwork for commercial printing and digital deployment, ensuring all files meet exact vendor specifications.   
  • Brand Consistency & Asset Management: Maintain established Fargo Park District and sub-brand's identity standards across      all materials, organize digital assets, and update/maintain design templates.   
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the Brand & Creative Specialist and Marketing team, incorporating stakeholder feedback into revisions efficiently.   
  • Photography Assistance: Assist with occasional photography capture  and basic image editing/retouching as needed.   
Requirements:

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has at minimum 2 years of professional design experience, excels in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable managing multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and strict brand consistency.    

  • Pursuing or having completed a Degree in Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations, Multimedia Journalism or related field preferred.
  • Experience with social media, media writing, editorial skills and photo/video editing is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to actively participate as a team member in projects.
  • Skillful writing, high quality content and editorial skills.
  • Experience with design programs (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva) is preferred.
  • Experience with photo/video elements that include Premier Pro and Photoshop is preferred.
