Part-time Assembler
Location: 365 Haacke Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620
Salary Range: $16-$17.50 per hour

Work Hours: This part-time role offers flexible scheduling with a minimum of 15 hours per week and at least 3 hours per shift. You can choose your start time, as long as your schedule remains consistent week to week.

The Dixon Group is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Assembler to join their Boss Division in Chestertown, MD! In this hands-on position, you will play a key role in producing high-quality sand-cast hose clamps through high-volume manual assembly. If you enjoy consistent, repetitive work and take pride in meeting daily production goals, this could be the perfect fit.

What You'll Do:

  • Manually assemble Dixon Boss Clamps, ensuring proper orientation and the precise assembly of nuts and bolts.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members on the manufacturing floor
  • Work safely around tools, equipment, and co-workers
  • Lean to operate hand tools and basic machining equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and production ready
  • Communicate with employees on manufacturing floor

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (current high school students are welcome to apply)
  • Strong finger and hand dexterity for manipulating small parts
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to lift and maneuver components up to 50lbs throughout the shift
  • Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
