Job Description:
Astera Cancer Care is looking for a PT Clinical Radiation Oncology Nurse to join our team in our freestanding clinic in Monroe Twp NJ. The Princeton Radiation Oncology Center is a state-of-the-art center with a focus on patient focused, team approach to care. The Radiation Oncology Nurse works within general ONS methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, regulations and scope of nursing work. The nurse utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to care working with other staff of the center including physicians, radiation therapists, physics, authorizations, and front desk.
The Radiation Oncology Nurse's primary responsibilities include clinical nurse activities which assure physician support and radiation oncology patient needs are completely met. This includes IV insertion, fiducial hydrogel procedures, laryngoscopy, ancillary services referrals, and assures nursing medical records are maintained according to regulatory requirement, best practice and center policy.
The Radiation Oncology Nurse is actively involved and assists in clinical research at the center working closely with the research team. The Radiation Oncology Nurse also participates in the following committees: Quality Council, Research, Infection Control, Pharmacy Program and assures safety measures and compliance are adhered to at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• New Jersey State License as Registered Nurse
• BSN required
• Radiation Oncology Certification required; OCN Certification preferred
• BLS certified
• 3+ years' experience in Radiation Oncology preferred

Pay Range: $40/hr - $60/hr

The above reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
