Job description

Position Description

The Government Affairs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the primary functions of the Government Affairs Department. This position will also assist with engaging, enabling, and mobilizing members to become active participants in the legislative process and strengthen the industry's collective voice. The Government Affairs Coordinator reports to the Director of Government Affairs. This is a part-time position, with an average work schedule of 25-28 hours per week.

Essential duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

Primary

Help manage the Director's calendar, and other teammates as necessary

Assist in identifying and recruiting high engagement members, hosting member regional meetings and meetings with lawmakers, and engaging members in political fundraising campaigns.

Provide opportunities for members to participate in GAC meetings, as well as manage Committee invites, meeting preparation, and member lists.

Manage legislator information lists and maintain the ability to contact lawmakers quickly.

Assist in analyzing member engagement data and ensure that all engagement documentation is current and complete in CRM.

Assist with building and populating lawmaker voting records and engage members in campaigns and fundraising efforts for endorsed lawmakers.

Assist in collaborating with the Communications team to put out calls to action, provide education opportunities, and communicate key political outcomes to members.
