Job description

Now Hiring: Part-Time Balanced Dog Trainers (2 positions available!)

Do you love working with dogs and people? We’re looking for two awesome Part-Time Balanced Dog Trainers to join our team!

At Dog Training Elite, we use a balanced training approach that combines structure, guidance, and positive reinforcement to help dogs (and their humans) succeed. We work with everything from basic obedience to advanced skills, service dog prep, and behavior challenges.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Training dogs in-facility, in clients’ homes, and out in public.

  • Running private lessons, group classes, and helping with public access sessions.

  • Coaching owners so they feel confident handling their dogs.

  • Helping dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities – from wiggly puppies to confident working dogs.

  • Tracking progress and celebrating wins with clients.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with dogs (professional training background preferred).

  • Comfortable using balanced training methods and tools (prong, e-collar, food/tug rewards, etc.).

  • Great people skills – you’ll be coaching owners as much as training dogs.

  • Reliable, professional, and excited to learn and grow.

  • Must have reliable transportation and flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Service dog or therapy dog training experience.

  • Previous dog training certifications.

  • Shelter, rescue, or vet tech background.

Why join us?

  • Fun, supportive team environment.

  • Ongoing mentorship and growth opportunities.

  • Flexible, part-time hours.

  • Competitive pay, based on experience.

We’ve got two spots to fill, so if this sounds like you (or someone you know), we’d love to hear from you!

Company Description

About Dog Training Elite
Dog Training Elite is one of the nation’s top dog training companies, built on the belief that every dog deserves the chance to live a happy, well-balanced life with their family. We specialize in balanced training methods that use both positive reinforcement and clear structure to create confident, obedient dogs while strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners.

Our programs range from basic obedience and puppy training to behavioral work, therapy and service dog training, and advanced skills. We offer a mix of in-facility sessions, in-home lessons, group classes, and public access training so dogs learn to succeed in the real world—not just the classroom.

With a focus on family, teamwork, and results, Dog Training Elite trainers work closely with clients to ensure they not only get a well-trained dog but also the knowledge and confidence to maintain that training for life.
