AM, PM, and NOC (Overnight) shifts available
Starting Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour
Shift Differentials:

  • PM Shift: +$2.00/hour
  • NOC Shift: +$1.50/hour

Sign-On Bonus

  • $750 after 3 months of employment
  • $1,500 after 8 months of employment
    (Available for positions scheduled 56 hours biweekly or more.)

Position Summary

St. Paul Elder Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team. As a CNA, you will provide hands-on personal care and daily support to residents while promoting their dignity, comfort, safety, and independence. This position works closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive exceptional care in a supportive senior living environment.

Whether you are looking for AM, PM, or overnight (NOC) shifts, you'll become part of a team dedicated to enriching the lives of the seniors we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting comfort and dignity.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, walking, and personal hygiene.
  • Answer resident call lights promptly and provide appropriate assistance.
  • Safely turn and reposition residents as needed.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.
  • Monitor and document food and fluid intake, as well as urinary and bowel output.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, or overall well-being to the nursing team.
  • Assist residents with meals while following dietary restrictions, food allergies, and personal preferences.
  • Remind residents to take prescribed medications and nutritional supplements as directed.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and resident care procedures.
  • Stay current with CNA certification requirements and facility policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and dependable resident care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and personal care.
  • Ability to accurately document resident information and report changes in condition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing.
  • Experience providing care for older adults.
  • Knowledge of resident rights, infection control, and safety procedures.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
