License and Certification Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia teaching certification (Required)
- Mathematics certification and/or concentration (Preferred)
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (Required)
- Master's Degree in related field (Preferred)
Experience Qualifications:
- 3 years of successful teaching experience (Required)
- Experience delivering professional learning opportunities and experience working with best practices in mathematics (Preferred)
Skills Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for professional learning development and delivery, data collection and evaluation, and various tasks that support the development, revision, implementation, and improvement of a cohesive K-12 mathematics program for instruction and assessment of the district's mathematics Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS
- Provide professional learning opportunities in support of teaching and learning.
- Develop and facilitate professional learning consistent with philosophy, goals, objectives, and needs of the district and the mathematics program K-12.
- Facilitate professional learning by modeling and coaching with teachers, inclusive of the balanced numeracy framework, formative assessment lessons, exemplars, and STEM instructional practices with a focus on problem-based learning.
- Demonstrate practical application of research based, learner-centered Quality-Plus Teaching Strategies.
- Implement professional learning through principals, assistant principals, department chairs, course team leads, grade level chairs, cluster vertical teams, and other appropriate personnel.
- Develop curriculum designed to support the mathematics program.
- Lead the selection pilot and implementation of core mathematics materials, K-12 to support instruction of the AKS in mathematics.
- Lead the development of instructional resources to include eCLASS course pages, lesson plans, interventions, extensions, and assessments for the mathematics program, K-12.
- Collect data from a variety of sources including, but not limited to, local, state, national, international, and standardized testing programs to monitor student achievement in mathematics.
- Effectively analyze and use local school data to lead data talks to impact student achievement in mathematics
- Support local schools in the district.
- Provide support for Local School Plans for Improvement (LSPI) as it relates to mathematics achievement.
- Provide support and assistance to principals, assistant principals, department chairs, course team leads, grade level chairs, cluster vertical teams, and other appropriate personnel who are creating and implementing interventions and extensions for mathematics AKS.
- Communicate to various internal and external audiences concerning program research and information.
- Interpret program philosophy, goals, and objectives to various audiences.
- Provide information to appropriate personnel regarding current research, knowledge, and trends in mathematics.
- Provide student support.
- Manage and promote student programs.
- Model in classrooms as appropriate.
