Position Title: Part-Time Piano Teacher for Mahtomedi Community Education
Start Date: As Soon as Possible
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 3 - 8 pm, Fridays 3 - 5 pm (22 hours per week)
Pay rate: $30 - $32 an hour
Mahtomedi Community Education offers private piano lessons to students in grades 1- through adult. We are seeking a part-time teacher to join our growing program. Teach private lessons during the school year, 2-4 days during the week, after school/evenings. Summer teaching can be flexible. Only those interested in creating an encouraging, fun, and patient experience for students need to apply.
Qualifications:
  • Must have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique
  • Must have experience working with youth and beginner students
  • Must pass a background check

This is a contracted position with an hourly rate based on experience, education, and references.
Mahtomedi Community Education offers flexibility in your schedule and the curriculum you find effective and enjoyable for students. We handle the registrations, marketing, scheduling, billing, recital prep, auditorium reservations, schedule changes and requests.
