You are responsible for cross-referencing patient prescriptions to ensure there are no drug interactions or other impacts on existing conditions and recognize potential signs of drug abuse. Part-time pharmacists need to understand insurance coding and how to process claims for patients, and may also offer to administer immunizations. Some part-time pharmacists may pursue positions outside of pharmacies, such as teaching positions in pharmacy school programs, handling prescription medications in prisons, or doing research for pharmaceutical companies.

Provides pharmaceutical care to Customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling Customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, maintaining controlled medication and required documentation.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standards.
