Job description

Position Title: Quality Data Analyst
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role amp; Department: Quality Data Analyst in the Quality Improvement Department
Hours amp; Shift: Part-time, 20 hours a week (0.5 FTE), Day Shift Position
Role Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison with insurance payers for pay-for-performance and value-based care programs.
  • Monitor payer scorecards, quality dashboards, and performance reports to evaluate organizational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct chart reviews and clinical documentation audits to identify care gaps and opportunities for quality measure improvement.
  • Monitor and track performance improvement project metrics and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to close identified care gaps and improve performance on payer quality measures.
  • Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Abstract clinical information from multiple data sources to support reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Oversee MIPS quality measure monitoring and reporting activities, including data validation, chart reviews, performance analysis, provider and staff education, and compliance with CMS requirements.
  • Prepare and submit MIPS quality measures through QualityNet and other required reporting platforms.
  • Maintain knowledge of CMS regulations and other healthcare quality reporting requirements.
  • Provide education and support to providers and clinical staff regarding quality measures, documentation requirements, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Participate as a member of the UHH Quality Council and Clinic Quality Committee.
  • Attend and contribute to additional committees, workgroups, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a healthcare setting required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practice guidelines required.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize work, coordinate multiple projects, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Degree or certification in Nursing, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is beneficial.
  • Experience working with clinical data and knowledge of ambulatory or clinic operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of CMS and other healthcare quality reporting regulations preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Management, Health Information Management (HIM), healthcare analytics, or a related clinical environment is beneficial.
  • Experience with value-based care programs, quality metrics, and performance improvement initiatives preferred.
