KC Paw Squad, LLC dba EarthWise Pet, Kansas City is looking for a Part Time Pet Groomer / Stylist to join our team!

We are a Pet Nutrition and Wellness Spa for dogs and cats. Our wellness spa offers Full Service Grooming/Styling, Baths (both standard and therapeutic), and Coloring services for both Dogs & Cats.

We are looking for a Pet Groomer / Stylist to work in our Kansas City / Liberty MO location.

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Pet Groomer / Pet Stylist, where your passion for animals and talent for grooming come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully styled pets. In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional grooming services that enhance each pet’s appearance and comfort while delivering outstanding customer care to pet owners. Your expertise will help build lasting relationships with clients and ensure every pet leaves feeling pampered and looking their best.

The right individual will be self-motivated, reliable, and willing to work hard to help improve the quality of our client's (pets) visit. Job Qualifications/Experience:

This positions schedule would be Wednesday to Saturday schedule and will be (8hr) shifts . Our store hours - Mon. to Fri. 9-7pm, Saturday 9-6pm. We are closed on Sundays.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional level grooming.
• High School diploma or GED is required. Some level of certification in grooming is not required but ideal.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and excellent time management
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to work with other groomers, bathers, retail staff and have a spark for creating positive customer experiences.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Calming presence to soothe dogs and comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work on/with a team.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass an animal handling training course or show proof of previously completing a certified course.
• Must be able to pass Pet First Aid certification within the first 2 weeks of employment.

Job Responsibilities:
Groom pets of all sizes and breeds.

• Grooming animals to company standards and client expectations.
• You will be brushing teeth, trimming nails, and expressing anal glands
• Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude.
• Calm Anxious animals.
• Ensure company policies are being followed.
• Communicate effectively with customers to find out what they need.
• Create a welcoming environment for animals and their owners.
• Maintain and adhere to all company safety guidelines.
• Promote follow-up appointments.
• Document areas of concern on the dogs or cat for further discussion with the owner.
• Clean up after yourself and your fur-clients at the end of each visit.
