Job description

Description
The College of Wooster seeks applications for a part time Scottish Drumming instructor beginning October 2026. Primary duties would include:
• Teaching weekly lessons to Music majors and non-majors
• Coach Scottish Percussion within the Pipe Band
• Maintain Scottish Drumming-specific inventory, including instruments and accessories. Order new items as needed through the Music Department
• Work with the Bagpipes instructor and the Highland Dance instructor
Qualifications
Degree in Music strongly preferred. Candidate must demonstrate evidence of successful performance and teaching, as well as the ability to be a congenial colleague. The ideal candidate will have a successful and ongoing record of instruction of Scottish Drumming, demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining students, and have reached Grade 2, Grade 1, or Professional solo ranks.
