Job description

1:1 School RN (Transportation Role) – Up to $52/Hour

Location: Middleborough, MA to Cape Cod, MA
Company: Amergis Healthcare Staffing

Amergis is partnering with a local school collaborative to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 support for an elementary-aged student with diabetes during daily transportation to and from their school program on Cape Cod.

Position Details
  • Start: ASAP
  • Schedule: Approximately 25 hours/week
  • Contract: 11 Months (ESY & School Year)
  • Pay: Up to $52/hour
  • Weekly Pay
Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 nursing support during transportation
  • Monitor and manage diabetes-related needs
  • Ensure student safety throughout the commute
  • Communicate with caregivers and school staff as needed
Requirements
  • Active Massachusetts RN License
  • Pediatric and/or diabetes experience preferred
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the nursing process and delivering individualized student care within the school environment. This role ensures that all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and in accordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the School District and Amergis Healthcare.  

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing  
  • One year of school nursing experience, preferred  
  • Pediatric experience, preferred  
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice  
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)  
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
