How much do part time passenger van driver jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 14, 2026, the average hourly pay for part time passenger van driver in the United States is $15.13, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $12.50 and $17.07 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is the most paid part-time job?

Part-time passenger van drivers can earn higher wages depending on the employer, location, and experience, with some earning over $20 per hour. Generally, roles in specialized transportation or with additional certifications tend to pay more than standard part-time jobs.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Part time passenger van drivers typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily earnings are usually associated with specialized roles like executive chauffeurs, high-end limousine drivers, or certain commercial drivers with extensive experience and contracts. Most driving jobs pay hourly or per mile, and earning $2000 daily generally requires full-time employment, overtime, or working in high-demand, high-paying sectors.

What is the difference between Part Time Passenger Van Driver vs School Bus Driver?

AspectPart Time Passenger Van DriverSchool Bus Driver
Required CredentialsValid driver's license, passenger endorsement (if applicable)Commercial driver's license (CDL), school bus endorsement
Work EnvironmentTransporting small groups, flexible hours, urban/suburban settingsTransporting students, fixed routes, school campuses
Employer & Industry UsagePrivate companies, transportation services, shuttle servicesSchool districts, educational institutions

While both roles involve transporting passengers, a Part Time Passenger Van Driver typically operates smaller vehicles with less stringent licensing requirements and offers more flexible schedules. In contrast, a School Bus Driver requires a CDL with a school bus endorsement and works on fixed routes primarily for educational institutions. Both roles serve transportation needs but differ in credentials, environment, and employer type.

Which delivery driver gets paid the most?

Among delivery drivers, those who operate larger vehicles like cargo vans or trucks often earn higher wages due to the increased responsibility and vehicle size. Additionally, drivers with specialized skills, such as handling hazardous materials or working in high-demand areas, can also earn more. However, pay varies based on company, location, experience, and schedule.

Can I make money with my own van?

A part-time passenger van driver can generate income using their own van by providing transportation services for clients or companies. However, they must ensure their vehicle meets safety standards, have proper insurance, and often need a valid driver’s license and background check. Earnings depend on the number of trips, rates, and scheduling flexibility.
