Opportunity summary: As the maintenance storeroom clerk, you will be responsible for helping us manage a large, complicated parts room. You will assist our procurement manager with ordering equipment and supplies. You'll help us improve the record keeping processes and procedures and help our techs remember to follow process and keep accurate inventory records. This is a role for a detail-oriented self-starter! Part time, flexible schedule, approx 20 hours per week. This role does not qualify for benefits. This role pays $22 per hour.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock
  • Help organize the parts inventory for a fast-paced high volume manufacturing operation
  • Track and monitor inventory supply levels for tools
  • Assist with ordering industrial maintenance supplies
  • Receive inventory, create new labels, and enter new part numbers into JDE software.
  • Partner with our maintenance manager to assess problems identified and validate parts needed on maintenance checklist.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. You must be 18 years of age
  • An interest in manufacturing, automotive maintenance or other mechanical acumen is highly valued
  • Ability to use computer and related software programs (JDE, CMMS, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data.
  • Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Be comfortable asking questions and be able to listen and follow instructions

The salary for this position is $22.00 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
