Join the CRP Team! We are currently searching for a Parcel Processor to work in our fast paced shipping department. The salary range begins at $17-$18 /hr. depending on experience and hours are from 9am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. This is a direct hire position in a family-owned company that has been in New Jersey for over 70 years.

The Parcel Processor will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of outbound parcel package shipments as well as the other activities described below.


Essential Functions:

  • Creates outgoing parcels using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and Rock Auto Shipping Tool programs
  • Reviews packages to ensure delivery accuracy
  • Prepares shipments including packing, checking and documentation.
  • Reading and interpreting documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Read tape measures, scales, and gauges
  • Adhere to safety rules
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Production Shop assistance and housekeeping duties when required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years’ experience in shipping/ receiving environment or any combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of small package and conveyor systems.
  • Understanding of WMS and RF scanner production experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Must be able to meet all Department Productivity Standards
  • Must be able to Stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend, squat and kneel repeatedly
  • Ability to use warehouse equipment, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Must be able to complete all required paperwork
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Windows/PC Ability

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse Environment. Daily use of wrists, hands, fingers, arms to use computer and phone. Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering and giving simple complex information to a group. May have to move boxes over 75 lbs to organize work station as well as prepare for shipments.
