Job description

Deliver Driver, Part Time

The Pioneer has an immediate opening at its production facility in Big Rapids for a part-time Delivery Driver. This position is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of freight (newspapers) and delivering these bundles to various locations. 

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate all company trucks
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and fluid levels are correct before operating
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Abide by Michigan traffic laws
  • Deliver freight to proper destinations on time
  • Safety and efficiently load and unload cargo
  • Properly prepare printed products for shipping
  • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company in a positive way

Requirements

  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Chauffeurs license or the ability to obtain one
  • Abide by Michigan traffic laws
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug test
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical
  • Ability to work early morning hours, up to 24 hours per week
