Description:

TPI has an exciting opportunity for experienced Letterpress Operators in Pennsauken, NJ. We are expanding our Letterpress team and are seeking skilled professionals who are passionate about craftsmanship, quality, and precision. In this role, you'll set up, operate, and maintain our Kluge & Heidelberg Cylinder Presses to produce high-quality die cutting, embossing, and foil stamping. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional products by ensuring efficient production, maintaining equipment, and ensuring every project meets our quality standards.


This position is available on 1st or 2nd shift. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment. Part-time schedules may be available based on operational needs.


The pay range for this position is $24-$35 per hour. Compensation is dependent on experience and industry knowledge.


Essential Functions:

  • Set up and operate letterpress equipment according to production specifications.
  • Install dies and prepare presses for production runs.
  • Monitor press performance and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Verify materials and production requirements before and during each job.
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals.
  • Operate pallet jacks and safely handle paper and materials.
  • Follow all company safety policies and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • History of performing well under pressure.
  • Individual should be mechanically inclined and possess problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal.
  • Team and goal oriented.
  • Must be very detailed oriented.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • At least two years successful experience as a letterpress machine operator in a bindery setting.
  • Other bindery equipment operating experience a plus.

Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. Continuous vision. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. to move palletized load. Frequent reaching, twisting, and gripping up to 25 lbs. to move paper stock. Occasional crouching and use of hand tools during routine machine maintenance.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work weekends and over-time as required. 1st shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; 2nd shift is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; 3rd shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This position typically works 40-50 hours per week.
