Job description

Vertis Wealth is seeking a motivated and outgoing Law Extern to join our team. This externship offers hands-on experience in the business development side of the legal and financial services industry. The Law Extern will assist with attorney outreach, relationship building, marketing initiatives, and administrative support while gaining valuable exposure to estate planning and professional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to estate planning and elder law attorneys to introduce Vertis Wealth's partnership opportunities
  • Make outbound calls to law firms to build relationships and schedule introductory meetings
  • Research law firms and attorneys to identify potential partnership opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts and follow-up activities in the firm's CRM
  • Assist with coordinating attorney meetings, webinars, and networking events
  • Support marketing initiatives aimed at legal professionals
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or enrolled in a law school externship program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence speaking over the phone
  • Professional, personable, and comfortable networking with attorneys and other professionals
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in estate planning, wealth management, business development, or attorney relations
