PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Tucson, AZ
$40$42/hr (based on experience)

What Youll Do

  • Provide Phase I and Phase II PACU care for post-operative patients
  • Monitor airway, breathing, circulation, neuro status, and pain levels
  • Recognize and manage post-anesthesia complications (pain, nausea, respiratory or hemodynamic changes)
  • Administer IV fluids and medications per anesthesia/provider orders
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and discharge readiness in the EMR
  • Communicate patient status with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and perioperative teams
  • Educate patients and caregivers on post-op care and discharge instructions
  • Ensure patients meet same-day discharge criteria
  • Support efficient patient flow to keep cases running on time
  • Follow all patient safety, infection control, and ASC protocols

What Were Looking For

  • Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license
  • AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • 2+ years of PACU or critical care experience
  • Recent PACU (or equivalent) experience within the last 6 months
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • Strong assessment, time-management, and critical-thinking skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving PACU
  • Current physical & TB test (within the last year)
