 Position Overview

As a Support Associate, you'll work alongside our team to help clients prepare for and complete residential moves. Every day is different, but your work will directly impact families by making stressful situations easier and more manageable.

This is an active, hands-on position that combines customer service, teamwork, organization, packing, and light moving.

Projects typically range from 2 to 8 hours, depending on client needs.

 What You'll Do
  • Assist clients with sorting belongings into items to keep, donate, sell, gift, recycle, or discard.

  • Carefully pack household goods, including fragile items, artwork, antiques, and valuables.

  • Label and organize boxes for efficient moving and unpacking.

  • Help unpack and organize clients' new homes.

  • Assist with light furniture movement and household setup.

  • Work closely with team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.

  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional customer service.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Handle clients' personal belongings with the utmost care and confidentiality.

  • Represent Downsizing by Design professionally at all times.

  • Comfortable bending, standing, climbing stairs, packing, and moving household items.

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

  • Experience in moving, packing, organizing, retail, hospitality, senior care, home services, or warehouse work is a plus-but not required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
