ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Cleans and disinfects restrooms.
  2. Dry mops and vacuums floors.
  3. Wet mops floors.
  4. Buffs floors.
  5. Empties trash from stores and offices.
  6. Sweeps and picks trash up from outside store each morning.
  7. Cleans offices.
  8. Washes windows and mirrors as necessary.
  9. Keeps paper towel and toilet paper dispensers filled.
  10. Sanitizes drinking fountains.
  11. Cleans refrigerator.
  12. Mows grass and pulls weeds, if necessary.
  13. Clean spills, and disinfects, if required.
  14. Shovels snow and salts or sands sidewalks and walkways.
  15. Move items to and from the staging area for truck loading and unloading.
  16. Pre-sorts donations as required.
  17. Accepts donations, distributes tax receipts and pre-sort donations by category.
  18. Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling required.
  19. Follows all safety rules and practices.
  20. Performs all other duties as may be assigned by the Store Manager in the process of carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries.
  21. In order to promote customer and donor satisfaction it is mandatory for employees who come in contact with the public to maintain a positive work outlook and to project a pleasant, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, donors, co workers, and clients.

Reviewed upon initial hire at 30, 60 and 90 days, and annually thereafter, by the Store Manager.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year work experience; previous janitorial experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Must to be able to distinguish between types of cleaning products.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSES/SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

  2. Ability to work within the team concept.
  3. Ability to plan work and organize tasks.
  4. Subject to random alcohol and drug testing as specified in the Drug Free Workplace Program.
