Job description

**Job Overview**

The position can be part-time, as minimal as 2 days per week.

Optional Ownership available for a full-time Doctor.

Doctor hours begin at 9 am Monday through Friday, Last appointment scheduled at 5 pm Monday through Thursday and 4 pm on Friday.  No weekends!

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. As a licensed OD/OD, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care to patients of all ages, from children to seniors. Your expertise in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions will be essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a dynamic and caring team, utilizing your skills in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

**Responsibilities** - Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including vision tests, to diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions.

Prescribe and fit contact lenses and glasses, as well as recommend lenses for patients.

- Provide pediatric eye care, including eye exams for children and management of pediatric eye conditions.

- Offer senior care, focusing on the unique eye health needs of older adults.

- Work closely with other medical professionals to ensure seamless care and succession planning.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry and medical coding.

- Maintain accurate patient records, including vital signs and medical history.

- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and provide guidance on eye health and hygiene.

- Utilize systems and software to manage patient data, schedule appointments, and perform billing and insurance tasks.

**Experience** - A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.

- Current licensure to practice optometry in the state where the position is located. - Significant experience in pediatric and senior eye care.

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.

- Proficiency in medical coding and familiarity with healthcare systems.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.

- Experience with succession planning and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
