What are part time office cleaners?

Part time office cleaners are professionals responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in office spaces on a part-time basis. Are you someone who takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained?
If so, we are looking for a General Cleaner to join our Janitorial Services team at a site in Smyrna, Delaware. This is a State Set-Aside position, reserved for individuals with disabilities as part of Delaware’s set-aside program. This role is essential to ensuring that assigned locations, equipment, and storage areas are properly cleaned and cared for using the right methods and materials.
Who We Are
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, working for the greater good is at the core of what we do at Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County. While our work focuses on supporting individuals, our broader vision reflects the lasting community impact that happens when people receive a hand up.
By providing job training, social services, and employment support, we empower people to build meaningful careers, strengthen their families, and contribute to thriving communities.
What You Will Do

  • Clean and sanitize fixtures, countertops, and other high-touch areas
  • Wipe down glass windows, doors, and elevator surfaces
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep entryways and walkways and remove litter from building exteriors
  • Secure facilities after the completion of janitorial duties, as applicable
  • Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Inform the supervisor when supplies need replenishing and report any equipment maintenance or repair needs
  • Work cooperatively with all internal and external customers to promote the achievement of the company mission
What We Are Looking For
  • Basic knowledge of standard cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
