Position Title: Center Receptionist
Department: Head Start
Location: Tampa Head Start/Partnership with SPS
Reports To: Area Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Employment Type: Part-time/Part-year: Monday-Friday (Aug-May), split shift. 7:30-9:30 A.M. amp; 1:30-3:30 P.M. 20 hrs/week

OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Teacher Assistant. This role supports classroom operations by helping create a warm, welcoming learning environment that encourages children to reach their highest potential while collaborating with classroom staff and families.
Position Overview

OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Center Receptionist.

The Center Receptionist provides a positive first impression and quality interactions with children, family members, applicants, visitors, and team members upon entering the building. This person must have excellent phone and organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to assist in classrooms when needed.

Work Schedule
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (Aug-May) 7:30-9:30 A.M. amp; 1:30-3:30 P.M.
  • Hours Per Week: 20 hours/week
  • Full-Time / Part-Time: Part-time/Part-year
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive first impression and quality interactions with children, family members, applicants, visitors, and team members
  • Answer and manage telephone calls
  • Perform computer and clerical work
  • Maintain organized information and records
  • Assist in classrooms when needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clerical experience
  • Business training
