The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care, education, and clinical functions consistent with the Adult Nurse Practitioner specialty according to the regulations as indicated on Scope of Practice signed by the Chief Medical Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and acute health care to individuals aged 13 and older who are present at the mobile health unit, according to the regulations as indicated on Scope of Practice signed by the Medical Director.
  • Document clinic visits and all telephone or verbal contacts in patient's charts.
  • Reviews initial and follow-up of labs and diagnostic tests.
  • Participate in the training of students assigned to the Health Center.
  • Provide health care based on clinical protocols, which have been reviewed and approved annually by the Medical Director.
  • Collaborate with outreach teams to identify, locate, and engage vulnerable, underserved individuals and populations.
  • Meets every three months with the Chief Medical Officer and reviews ten random charts in which medication was prescribed. An ongoing list is to be maintained by the ANP. Completion of this review will be filed with the clinic nurse manager.
  • Attend Health Center staff and Mobile Health Team meetings.
  • Consult and refer to Health Center doctors and other doctors as needed to provide optimal care.
  • Attend conferences and trainings as approved by the clinic manager that reflect clinic
  • Other duties as assigned.
Hourly rate: $55 - $70/hour

Education & Experience

  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
  • National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
  • Massachusetts license to practice in the expanded nursing role.
  • Possess or obtain prescription privileges in Massachusetts.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (CPR)
