Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool - Part-time, Days

Work location: Texas Health Southwest - 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
Work Hours: Part-time, Day Shift
Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM; Weekend and holiday requirements
Hours: 24 Hours
Department Highlights:
• Central Staffing department for 222-bed facility
• MAGNET facility
• Level III Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke center

Here's What You Need:
Education:
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing Required; BSN Preferred
Experience:
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program Required
• Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience Preferred
• Intermediate Care experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - within 90 days of hire Required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - required for ED Neighborhood within 90 days of hire Required
• NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Required
What You Will Do:
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of intervention
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
