Part Time No Weekends information

What are the typical work schedules and expectations for a part time no weekends position?

Part Time No Weekends positions generally offer shifts scheduled during weekdays, often between Monday and Friday, and can range from morning to late afternoon hours depending on the employer's needs. Employees in these roles are usually expected to commit to a set number of hours per week, which can vary between 10 and 30 hours. This schedule can be ideal for those balancing other commitments, such as students, parents, or individuals seeking additional income. Clear communication regarding scheduling preferences is important, as employers often try to accommodate availability within operational needs. Team collaboration and core responsibilities will depend on the specific industry and role, but these positions commonly involve working alongside full-time staff during regular business hours.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a part time no weekends position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a part-time, no weekends position, candidates generally need strong time management, reliability, and relevant job-specific skills, such as administrative, retail, or customer service experience depending on the role. Familiarity with common workplace tools like Microsoft Office, point-of-sale systems, or scheduling software is often required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and team collaboration help individuals stand out in these roles. These skills ensure productivity, dependability, and smooth workflow within limited work hours, supporting organizational goals while meeting employee scheduling needs.

What is a part time no weekends job?

Part-time no weekends jobs are positions that require employees to work fewer hours than full-time roles, typically less than 30-35 hours per week, and do not include shifts on Saturdays or Sundays. These jobs are ideal for individuals seeking a flexible schedule, such as students, parents, or those with other commitments on weekends. Common examples include administrative assistants, customer service representatives, retail associates (in stores with weekday hours), and remote roles in various industries.

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Schedule: 2–3 days/month (Weekdays)

Compensation: $800 per diem

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

About The Opportunity

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to provide care in a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This is a clinic-based role where you'll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior populations.

If you're looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency — without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice — this opportunity offers flexibility and professional support.

The Setting

This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model.

  • Clinic staff are on-site full time
  • Organized scheduling and patient flow
  • Coordinated, team-based care environment
  • Value-based model focused on seniors

We manage equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics — allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care.

What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
  • Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
  • Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
  • Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
What Makes This Different

This is not a high-volume retail model.

Our optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent Comprehensive Mobile Care directly within each partner location.

We emphasize:

  • Quality over volume
  • Consistency and predictability
  • Administrative and logistical support
  • Long-term clinic partnerships
  • Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
  • Active Tennessee optometry license
  • Experience treating senior populations preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
  • Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments
Schedule
  • 2–3 days/month (weekdays)
  • Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No billing or administrative responsibilities

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is a family-founded healthcare organization with over 25 years of experience increasing access to care for senior and underserved communities across 20+ states.
