Description

Summary: Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program. Adjunct faculty are part-time instructors responsible for delivering high-quality graduate instruction and supporting student learning in a professional and student-centered environment
Examples of Duties
• Teach assigned MBA courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats
• Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes
• Facilitate student engagement and maintain regular communication with students
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades in a timely manner
• Maintain office hours or availability for student consultation (as required)
• Adhere to university policies, academic standards, and accreditation requirements
• Participate in limited program or departmental activities as requested
Typical Qualifications
• Earned a doctorate/terminal degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
• OR
• Master's degree in the teaching discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the field, if justified by professional experience (rare and subject to accreditation standards)
• Evidence of professional experience and/or scholarly activity relevant to the teaching area
• Ability to meet professional accrediting agency faculty qualification standards
• Eligibility to teach graduate-level coursework
Supplemental Information
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior MBA or graduate-level teaching experience
• Relevant industry experience in business, accounting, finance, or management
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP, SHRM, etc.)
• Experience with online learning platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas)
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness
