Jennie Stuart Health is looking for a compassionate and motivated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (BHU) to provide exceptional care to patients in our 12-bed Behavioral Health Unit. This role is perfect for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are passionate about helping patients on their path to healing and recovery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Administer and document medications safely and accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to update and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on treatment goals and progress
  • Operate equipment safely, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and uphold all safety standards
  • Demonstrate professionalism and compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality and supporting hospital policies
  • Serve as a positive role model for teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or a compact state
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required, must be current)
  • Strong understanding of medication administration and patient care protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and composure in high-stress situations
