Job description

Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Wound Care - Clinton Twp Medical Building - 15520 19 Mile Rd with some traveling to Chesterfield Twp Medical Building - 30795 23 Mile Rd, Chesterfield Twp.

Part Time - approx. 20 hours/week

Responsibilities Include: ย In-basket, phone triage, wound care dressing changes, patient assessments, wound measurements, vitals, documentation, working with the providers, set up home care services, etc.

Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 1 year RN experience in an Ambulatory/Clinic or inpatient hospital setting such as Med Surg, ER, or ICU experience. ย Must have wound Care experience.ย 

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.ย 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.ย 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS). RN Lactation Consultant: IBCLC certification must be acquired within 12 months of hire & maintained. One to two (1-2) years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist preferred. RN Wound Care: Completion of accredited wound care program (before certification requirements). WOCNCB/NCCA/CNA certification within 18 months of hire; certification must be maintained and current.
