Position Summary
The Respiratory Therapist (RT) provides respiratory therapy services to residents, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring, to support optimal cardiopulmonary function.
Responsibilities
Perform respiratory assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, including oxygen, nebulizers, and other modalities.
Monitor resident responses to therapy and adjust treatment within scope and orders.
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure proper cleaning and storage.
Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided.
Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.
Current, unencumbered RT license in the state of Tennessee.
Long-term care/skilled nursing or acute care experience preferred.
