Job description

The Nursing Department in the Manhattan campus is seeking full time Registered Nurses (RNs)  on 12 hour shift for  day assignment. Location is the Upper West side of Manhattan.   Full time RNs are entitled to sign-on bonus of $5000. Part time will get prorated sign on bonus..

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Supervisor, the RN  plans, administers and assists in all activities on a specific Nursing Unit, in a manner consistent with The New Jewish Home mission, vision and values.  

 Job Duties: 

  • Participates in, monitors and reports about the quality of life and care issues of residents/clients.
  • Participates in the assessment of residents/clients.
  • Participates in the management of the Environmental of Care as it relates to the safety of residents/clients and staff.
  • Participates in the surveillance, prevention and control of infection, by adhering to and ensuring compliance of staff with infection control policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
  • Currently licensed to practice as Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years long term and  acute care experience preferred.
  • BCLS required and IV Therapy certification preferred.
