Work Hours and Location: This position is based on-site at our Headquarters in Bedford, Texas, and the normal work schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:15pm. Occasional extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required for IT Department projects.
Summary: Designs, implements, and manages FTWCCU's LAN, WAN, network segments, wireless access points and internet connections; implements and manages network hardware and software, analyzes and resolves third-tier support problems, and monitors the network to ensure its availability to system users and security of member data; ensures network security procedures are followed, researches and evaluates new third-party vendors, software, and services that will support staff and member needs as part of our corporate strategic plan; troubleshoots problems via automated network monitoring systems, and makes recommendations for enhancements in the implementation of future servers and networks.
Requirements: Candidate must have 3-5 years' relevant experience, including maintaining and supporting a virtualized VMWare server environment. Advanced understanding of Microsoft Server, VMWare, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routers, layer 3 switches, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls. Prior experience in a credit union or other financial institution is helpful, as is experience with Fiserv XP2.
Preferred certifications include Microsoft, CompTIA Net+, Security+, CISCO CCNA, or VMWare.
In addition, this position requires a professional demeanor; the ability to communicate sensitive information with clarity and tact, both verbally and in writing; the ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
