Job description

Job Description:
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Head Coach, Club Gymnastics. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).
The Brown Gymnastics Club is looking to hire a head seasonal coach to help build and grow this new club sport at Brown. The primary functions of this position will be to instruct gymnasts at practice, strategize for competitions, and coordinate travel and competition logistics. This is a part-time 10-month position with varied work hours.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Gymnastics coaching experience, preferably at the college level
  • USA Gymnastics certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.

Job Competencies
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication & computer skills, necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to students
  • Strong work ethic, passion for the profession and commitment to student-athletes
  • Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Basic proficiency in excel, word, internet & email capabilities.
  • Experience with electronic medical records system, helpful.
