NDT Level II Inspector – Quality Assurance

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented NDT Level II Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) using Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (FPT/PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to ensure forged components meet manufacturing plans, drawings, customer requirements, and applicable quality specifications.
The ideal candidate will have current NDT Level II certification, hands-on inspection experience, and the ability to accurately identify, evaluate, and document material discontinuities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle inspections on manufactured and forged components.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment verifications for applicable NDT inspection methods.
  • Inspect parts for cracks, defects, and other discontinuities in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
  • Accurately identify and document unacceptable discontinuities.
  • Measure parts to verify conformance with engineering drawings and specification requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, inspection plans, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, observations, and documentation of identified quality concerns.
  • Issue NDT certificates as evidence of completed and accepted inspections.
  • Develop written techniques for Magnetic Particle inspections, including equipment and testing requirements.
  • Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to supervisors, lead personnel, and Quality Management.
  • Complete required computerized quality and inspection documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Current NDT Level II Inspector certification; copies of certification must be provided.
  • Completion of 40 hours of training by a certified NDT Level III Inspector.
  • 1–2 years of experience as an NDT Level II Inspector.
  • Hands-on experience with both Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete computerized documentation.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working command of written and verbal English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Must meet applicable U.S. person requirements for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a forging or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Trade school or related technical certifications.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but is not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
