Overview

A Concessionย Cook is responsible forย preparing menuย items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environmentย for service in the concessions stands.ย Concessionย Cooksย must adhere to high food quality standardsย efficientlyย to ensure guest satisfaction.ย Portion control, food waste, and sanitation are essentialย areas thatย Concessionย Cook must be aware of while operating in theย kitchenย and must maintainย speed ofย service.ย Concession Cooks will workย in collaboration with their teamย toย help maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked kitchen while ensuring a positive work environment.ย 

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00-$20.00 CAD

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers andย customers.ย ย 
  • Prepare concession menu items in cooperation with the rest of the team, following the specifications, recipes, and techniques of the company.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously,ย in high quality, and in a timely fashion.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Set up stocking stations with all necessaryย supplies.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet daily needsย asย instructed.
  • Monitor product freshness andย maintain first-in/first-outย based on a schedule created by the restaurant.ย ย 
  • Receives verbal orders from the front counter staff for food product requirements for guest orders.
  • Responsible forย ensuringย portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession standย meet standards.ย ย 
  • Ensure that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away, and the floor is swept and mopped at the end of the shift.
  • Is checked out before ending the shift by the chef on duty toย ensure theย kitchen meetsย cleanliness standards.ย ย ย 
  • Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.ย ย 
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.ย 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.ย 
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' experience as a cook in a similar concessions environmentย is an asset.ย ย ย ย 
  • Abilityย to communicate with employees, co-workers,ย management,ย andย guests in a clear,ย business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive,ย enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
