The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care and collaborates with other members of the care team.
Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Determines patient level of severity and priority.
  • Responds to Medical Emergency/Rapid Response Alerts
  • Adheres to MSE/EMTALA requirements.
  • Assists provider with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) and moderate sedation.
  • Assists Law Enforcement with acquiring legal blood samples.
  • Meets mandatory reporting requirements for neglect, abuse, and domestic violence.
  • Completes age-appropriate assessments for neonatal through geriatric patients.
  • Develops and implements a plan of care for each patient, including appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Visually observes and interprets alterations in physiological and psychological status of all patients.
  • Provides holistic nursing care that incorporates family involvement.
  • Promptly updates physicians and family of relevant patient status changes.
  • Accurately documents patient data and care provided in the patient's medical record.
  • Collaborates with members of the medical staff to provide quality patient care.

Requirements of this position include:
  • Associates degree required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Current RN license to practice in the State of Wisconsin upon hire; BLS (required); ACLS, PALS, NRP certification (if applicable to specialty area).
