General Summary:
The Mover for Transitions by Go Green is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading furniture, boxes, and household or office items during residential and commercial relocations.
Some weekend or evening shifts may be required.
Essential Functions:
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload client belongings safely and carefully.
  • Protect furniture and household items using moving blankets, straps, and padding.
  • Assemble and disassemble furniture as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and tools.
  • Follow all safety standards and company procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and teammates.
  • Complete inventory lists and delivery forms accurately.
  • Report damages, incidents, or vehicle issues to the supervisor.

Supporting Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Supervisor.

Qualification Standards
Communication:
Strong communication skills; including the ability to deal effectively with vastly diverse groups of people and guests.
Education:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance including hair color.
Certificates: Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
  • Ability to frequently walk and climb/descend stairs approximately 50% of the time.
  • Ability to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, the use of small repair tools
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 75 pounds without assistance and a maximum of 140 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull and twist as needed to accomplish required tasks
  • Ability to perform duties with extreme temperature and noise ranges
  • Must have the physical ability to maintain balance, climb safely, and carry boxes or materials
  • Ensuring three points of contact at all times while using a ladder.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters
  • Ability to hear within a normal range
  • Ability to move about
