JOB TITLE: Part-Time Teller, Level 1,
DEPARTMENT: Ishpeming
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Supervisor
SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibility
CLASSIFICATION:
Staff
Part-Time
Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
This individual helps customers with routine financial transactions. Day-to-day work includes making deposits, processing withdrawals and issuing cashier's checks. Tellers also perform basic customer service tasks, such as answering phones and forwarding customer requests to other departments within the Bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Greet and direct customers and answer phones as instructed.
  • Execute basic transactions (i.e.: withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, cashier's checks, etc.).
  • Process nights drops, drop-offs and mail.
  • Keep teller area organized and supplies stocked for front line and drive-thru services.
  • Maintain accurate records, balance daily, and account for cash drawer.
  • Process and balance Branch Capture work and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform general account maintenance, including address changes and check and debit card orders.
  • Complete a variety of forms and applications (i.e.: stop pays, disputes, debit card applications, etc.).
  • Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position. Additionally, complete all required compliance and regulatory training, not limited to BSA.
  • Assume and accomplish other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a part-time position with variable hours up to 30 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS:
Numerical aptitude, accurate typing, computer and calculator skills are necessary. Requires cash handling ability and strong interpersonal skills. Must understand Bank products and services and be able to explain them.
Professionalism must be exhibited and confidentiality respected at all times.
OTHER WORK:
Assist officer(s) in all customer service administrative duties.
REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Cash handling, keyboard and numeric skills and experience working with customers or the public preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position may require individual to perform repetitive motion in operating equipment such as keyboard, calculator or other bank/office-related machinery. While performing duties the employee may have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position requirements may be, but are not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, bending, talking, hearing and communicating. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Valid driver's license and ability to be insured required if driving.
Position requires attendance at meetings.
Some travel is expected for this position. However, travel is primarily local and during the business day.
