Their main responsibility is to visit properties to document their condition, occupancy status, and any visible damages. These inspections help lenders ensure that collateral properties are being maintained and occupied, especially for delinquent or defaulted loans. As part-time workers, inspectors have flexible schedules and are typically paid per inspection completed. The job often involves travel within a designated area and requires attention to detail, basic photography skills, and the ability to report findings promptly.
