The Department of Environmental Science within the School of Earth and Environment at Rowan University is seeking qualified candidates to teach an array of introductory courses in future semesters. Applicants must have at an MS or higher degree in Environmental Science or related field; the Ph.D. is preferred. Additional opportunities will likely arise in Summer and Winter semesters.

The statement of teaching philosophy should includes ideas for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom (applicants who are from a background traditionally underrepresented in STEM are encouraged to share their personal journey, instead).
Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified Doctoral University (Moderate Research Activity) with approximately 23,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia. Philadelphia International Airport is 30 minutes away, and New York and Washington, DC are easily accessible by train from 30th Street Station.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $1,975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
