Job description

About the role
Our Mine Maintenance department, composed of approximately 68 people, is integrated with the Mine Operations and Mine Utility teams and focuses on safe and reliable operation and minimal downtime of all mine assets in collaboration with the overall mine production budget.
As a Mine Maintenance Electrician, you will perform maintenance/electrical troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems to include low, medium, high voltage, and AC/DC systems related to underground mining equipment. Coordinate maintenance activities with mine production and operations to ensure well planned and coordinated actions are consistent with the goals of the mine. Perform proper risk assessments and inspections of work areas and equipment.
You will be accountable for:
    • Be able to recognize what needs to be done and have the initiative to do it;
    • Have the ability to work well with others and be team oriented;
    • Have the ability to analyze information, both written and verbal;
    • Have the ability to prioritize and organize required job activities.
    • Work directly with the GM to support all aspects of her daily work routine.

We offer employment based on site working a 12 hour shift rotation of both days and graves, 6am to 6pm schedule
About you
High School Diploma required. Five years of applicable mine electrical experience required. Formal education/training in the electrical discipline preferred. MSHA electrical certification is a plus. Successful candidate must pass the Solvay underground mine maintenance electrical test at the grade B level.

    • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining efficiency.
    • Ability to work with limited directions/supervision is essential.
    • Must be able to lift, pull/push and carry equipment, tools and other objects weighing up to fifty pounds.

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:
  • $48.00-$49.40 per hour in the United States.

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
