BPR Consulting Group (www.bpr-grp.com) is seeking an experienced and licensed Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (MEP) Engineer to join our growing company and serve our clients. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available for qualified candidates.

The successful candidate must have experience and success in performing plan review and design evaluation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a wide range of building projects; reviewing and preparing plans and specifications for compliance with applicable codes and standards; coordinating engineering activities with other disciplines and departments; and preparing clear, comprehensive technical reports. A strong knowledge of MEP design principles and the California Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Energy Codes is essential to the success of the selected individual.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform plan review and analysis of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and stamp engineering plans, specifications, and calculations.

  • Coordinate MEP design and plan review activities with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and agency departments.

  • Provide technical guidance and code interpretations to clients, contractors, and staff.

  • Prepare clear and concise engineering reports, correspondence, and project documentation.

  • Assist with project management responsibilities, including scheduling, budgets, and client communications.

  • Ensure all work complies with BPR's and clients' policies, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Provide services in an efficient, proactive, and client-focused manner.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Two (2) plus years of experience as a licensed Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineer working on building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP design principles, systems integration, building inspection, and construction processes.

  • Experience in the interpretation and application of California Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Energy Codes.

  • Proficiency with engineering software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Certification Requirements:

    • California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
    • Additional ICC certifications (e.g., Mechanical Plans Examiner, Electrical Plans Examiner, Plumbing Plans Examiner) preferred but not required.
