The Phoenix Recovery Center – South Jordan, UT
Part-Time | Approximately 5–6 Hours Per Week
The Phoenix Recovery Center is seeking a dependable part-time Phlebotomist/Medical Support staff member to assist our medical team at our South Jordan behavioral health treatment facility.
This is a limited part-time position of approximately 5–6 hours per week. The primary responsibility will be completing scheduled weekly blood draws for clients, with remaining time spent assisting the Medical Director with miscellaneous medical and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
  • Current phlebotomy certification/license or other appropriate credential to perform blood draws
  • Experience performing venipuncture and blood draws
  • Medical Assistant (MA) certification is a plus, but not required if otherwise qualified to perform the position's duties
  • Dependable and able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule
  • Comfortable working with clients in a behavioral health setting
  • Must meet required background screening requirements
Responsibilities
  • Complete scheduled weekly blood draws for clients
  • Properly label, handle, and prepare specimens according to established procedures
  • Obtain vital signs as needed
  • Assist the Medical Director with follow-up tasks and miscellaneous medical needs
  • Assist with medical records and other basic administrative tasks as assigned
  • Communicate appropriately with the medical and treatment teams regarding assigned tasks
  • Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
Pay & Schedule
  • Approximately 5–6 hours per week- can be done in 1 shift or across 2 days
  • Consistent weekly schedule established upon hire
  • $18- $20 per hour DOE
  • On-site gym and pickleball court available for staff use
