Job description

Enhanced Care Clinic is looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our growing Virtual Weight Loss Program.

This is a part-time, flexible, fully remote position. The successful candidate will work closely with our Internal Medicine Specialist to provide nutrition education and support to patients enrolled in our medically supervised weight loss program.

About the Role

The Registered Dietitian will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their weight loss journey. The successful candidate will provide both virtual group education sessions and, where applicable, individual nutrition counselling. This position is a new role within the clinic.

This role offers flexibility and is ideal for a Dietitian looking to maintain a part-time practice with a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual nutrition education and counselling to patients enrolled in the Weight Loss Program.
  • Lead virtual group education sessions for patients with chronic conditions and weight management concerns.
  • Provide one-on-one virtual nutrition counselling for eligible patients, based on program and billing requirements.
  • Develop individualized nutrition recommendations and practical strategies to support healthy and sustainable weight management.
  • Educate patients on nutrition, lifestyle changes, behaviour change, and long-term weight maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with the Internal Medicine Specialist and other members of the healthcare team to support coordinated patient care.
  • Review relevant patient information and support patients based on their medical condition and treatment plan.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of nutrition education materials and program resources.
  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centred nutrition care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian in good standing with the applicable provincial College of Dietitians.
  • Experience in weight management, obesity, metabolic health, chronic disease management, or lifestyle counselling is preferred.
  • Experience providing virtual care is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition counselling, behaviour change, and sustainable weight management strategies.
  • Comfortable leading virtual group education sessions and providing one-on-one counselling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.
  • Experience using EMR and virtual care platforms is an asset.

What We Offer

  • Part-time position with a flexible schedule.
  • Fully remote – work from home.
  • Opportunity to build your caseload as the program grows.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Collaborate directly with an Internal Medicine Specialist.
  • No requirement to source your own patients.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the development of a growing virtual Weight Loss Program.

Schedule

Flexible, based on program and patient needs. The successful candidate will be expected to provide availability for scheduled virtual group sessions and individual patient appointments.
