ALIYA of Palos Park is seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our facility. The Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and staff while ensuring the front desk operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to answer, screen, and forward calls, providing information and taking messages.

  • Greet all visitors entering the facility and direct or escort them to their destinations.

  • Assist residents, family members, employees, and visitors as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and front office.

  • Ensure front office supplies are adequately stocked and order supplies as needed.

  • Maintain facility security by following established procedures and controlling access to the building.

  • Maintain the general filing system and file correspondence appropriately.

  • Receive and distribute daily mail, deliveries, courier packages, and equipment to the appropriate departments or individuals.

  • Report resident concerns or issues to the Administrator or appropriate department.

  • Perform general administrative duties, including word processing, data entry, and making phone calls for department heads as requested.

  • Answer phone calls intended for the Long-Term Care department as needed.

  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
