Job description

Position Overview:

The part-time Media Relations position will assist the Washington Wizards Public Relations team with game day duties during all Wizards home games throughout the 2026-27 season.

Do you have strong communication skills, love sports and are passionate about supporting the Wizards? We would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with media room and media seating set up.
  • Deliver credentials to media.
  • Help direct, service, and monitor media throughout the duration of the event.
  • Support game day and special event needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Previous public relations, communications, or journalism experience is a plus.
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced work environment.
  • Hard working, detail oriented, and results driven.
  • Strong communication skills, customer-service oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and on a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexibility to work most Wizards home games including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
